From the photos online and the price, we weren't expecting much, but the room was decent and quiet. It's in a pretty central location close to the ferry if you are going to HK island and near lots of shops. The entry to the building can be quite intimidating tho with lots of people standing out the front. We just used the side entrance. The staff were very helpful and even let us extend out stay.

Booking the rooms were easy and certainly fine for the budget we tried to adhere to. Four nights per room were approximately $72/total. However, the proprietor, Mr. Singha, and his son were rude, Kurt, abrupt and dismissive during our entire stay. After the first night, I was moved without my knowledge to a different, smaller room with no explanation. My room was never cleaned, garbage thrown out, soap replaced in the dispenser, nor fresh towels. The WiFi was NON existent due to location being in a dead spot. There are several proprieties for rent within the criteria of Holland Guest House. Try one of those....you’ll have a much better experience.
