At heart, I find Indigo brand pretty unique and special, but our experience with Indigo HK is rather underwhelming. ||PROS||1. Location is great, at the heart of Wanchai. |2. Room is spacious for a HK standard.||CONS ||1. Tired and Impersonal.||2. Lack of power outlet.||3. Bathroom is not enclosed. |With separate toilet and shower, you can literally hear everything. The room design doesn't work for me. No privacy. The standard room is only ideal for solo traveler.||4. Old (Smart) TV .|You can't connect your device. ||5. Two ridiculous speakers that can only connects to the TV. Can't even bluetooth.|The speakers are nailed/glued to the shelve. Such a waste of space.||6. Staff lacks of warmth and clueless. |One night I requested for Cassia Tora Seed pillow (from their pillow menu). The receptionist (gentleman) didn't understand and asked me if I want to buy a pillow. This is despite me repeating and explaining. He then asked Housekeeping to send me a regular pillow instead.||7. Hotel is quite stingy with providing bottled water in the room. |They only provide 2 tiny cans of water. We have to keep on grabbing water bottles from the lobby. ||8. Breakfast is substandard.|Feels like the Holiday Inn. Just go to Eric Kayser across the hotel.||9. Housekeeping and tidiness are not great. ||10. The pool boy is not attentive enough to refresh the sun beds. They just left the used towels on the beds. I had to ask them to clean the unused beds.||Overall, it wasn't a great stay. Indigo HK is more suited like a 3-star property.||TIPS : If you are still proceeding, be prepared to get a room facing the office building next door. We stayed for three nights and asked for a better view upon check in, but the lady told us we need to pay extra. ||I guess repeat guests doesn't make a difference anymore nowadays.

Hotel Review: Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island Stay Dates: February – March 2025 Hotel Indigo Hong Kong Island offers a stylish and comfortable stay right in the heart of Central Hong Kong, making it an excellent base for exploring all the city has to offer. With easy access to transport, shops, restaurants, and cultural spots, the location is one of the hotel’s biggest advantages. We stayed in one of the suites, which was surprisingly spacious by Hong Kong standards, and offered a homely, welcoming atmosphere. The room was well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable — an ideal place to return to after a busy day in the city. While the hotel’s gym facilities were adequate, the rooftop pool — which looked great — was unfortunately closed during our stay. Views from the property were decent, though not quite as expansive as some other hotels in the city. Breakfast was adequate but unremarkable, with limited options and average quality, but it did the job for a quick start to the day. Where the hotel truly excels, however, is in its staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and consistently reliable. From check-in to local advice and special requests, the service was warm and genuine. A special thank you to Jacinda Chan, Anna, and Apple, whose exceptional hospitality and attentiveness made a real difference in our overall experience. For the price point, Hotel Indigo offers excellent value — clean and comfortable beds, convenient location, and welcoming service all combine to create a solid choice for travellers looking for a practical, stylish, and reliable place to stay in Hong Kong. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the city with everything right on your doorstep.
