While the inn is conveniently located in the middle of the shopping district and MTR, that's about all the advantage you can get out of this place.||Upon entering Chungking Mansions, you will be greeted by a large crowd coming in and out of the building. There's also a lot of people going around offering you to buy their goods or services. The elevators are old, limited, and quite slow. It would take about 10-15 mins of waiting time with the volume of people also waiting.||The building is very dirty and a rancid smell is present in the whole place. The area is generally unsafe. There's also a bunch of drunk people at night hanging around near the elevators.||The room we booked was far from what was advertised. Although clean, the rooms were very small; about the size of a shower stall. The walls were covered in bathroom tiles and the bathroom itself was even smaller with the shower head just above the toilet.||It was our first time in Hong Kong and we didn't think much of the place nor the building it was situated in since most of the hotels/BnBs suggested were from here. A big mistake that ruined the overall experience. We left the place the same day and just stayed at another hotel.||I highly suggest booking actual hotels, even 3-5 stars ones. You're already going on a vacation, might as well spend a bit more in a place that makes you feel comfortable and safe.
